Continuous involvement in the Solid Waste industry since 1995, providing natural resource investigation and permitting services, has led to a deep knowledge of this sector and its specialized requirements for MSW, C&D, and LCID sites throughout the Southeast.  This experience is applied to every project such as minor site improvements, major landfill expansions, borrow area evaluations, and new site investigations and permitting.  

Through several long-term teaming relationships as a sub-contractor to quality engineering firms, Inver provides a variety of services including environmental assessments, wetland/stream delineation, Clean Water Act permitting and endangered species surveys. North Carolina work experience includes Apex, Fayetteville, Greensboro, High Point, Johnston Co, Raleigh, Union Co., Wilmington, Winston-Salem, Yadkin Co. and many others. 

Consulting services leading to accelerated agency approvals for multiple economic development projects including the acquisition of a Major Buffer Variance and Clean Water Act Individual Permit for the development of the Triangle Tire Kingsboro CSX Select Site.  Successfully coordinating complex permitting efforts with owners, engineering firms and regulatory permitting/commenting agencies.

Inver has assisted private ventures in completing successful projects throughout the Carolinas including large mixed-use developments, residential subdivisions, and specialized industrial sites. Our regulatory knowledge and agency relationships have helped to accelerate approvals, properly assess resources and identify mitigation requirements, and assist planners and engineers in minimizing costly impacts.

Over 20 years of Design-Build pursuit consultation, design review/support, permit preparation, agency coordination, and permit compliance for multiple NCDOT Design-Build projects. Inver's role can be adapted from lead environmental specialist during the pursuit and project phases, to senior peer review of a team's existing environmental staff, as provided to the Herbert C. Bonner Bridge over the Oregon Inlet project (NCDOT TIP B-2500).    

Inver personnel led on-call natural resource services for the NCDOT Environmental Analysis Unit from 2001-2006 & 2008-2023.  Work included wetland and stream delineation and assessment, protected species surveys, Natural Resource Technical Reports, Section 7 Biological Assessments, US Forest Service Biological Evaluations, and more.  We can provide this knowledge of NCDOT policies and procedures to assist your transportation team.
